Winner of the 2012 Cardiff International Poetry Competition, Mark Tredinnick, will visit Wales on a special tour organised by New Welsh Review this March. The tour will see Tredinnick visit venues in Cardiff, Carmarthen, Aberystwyth and Swansea between Monday 18th and Friday 29th March.

Cardiff University's Creative Writing Centre will host the latest in its series of visiting writers on Monday 25th February, featuring former National Poet of Wales Gwyneth Lewis. The evening is being held in the University's Graduate Centre and starts at 7pm. Entry is free.

The 2013 Cardiff International Poetry Competition is open for entries, but budding poets will need to act fast as all entries must be recieved by Friday 15th February. This year's judges are former Poet Laureate Sir Andrew Motion, National Poet of Wales Gillian Clarke and celebrated Welsh poet Samantha Wynne-Rhydderch.The top prize is a handsome £5000, with runner-up prizes ranging from £50 - £500.
