Welsh author Cynan Jones has been shortlisted for the Sunday Times EFG Private Bank Short Story Award, which offers the world's largest prize for a single short story. The judges have praised the 'gritty immediacy' of Jones' short story, 'The Dig' and you can read more about the inspiration behind the story here. The winner of the £30,000 prize will be announced during a gala dinner at the Oxford Literary Festival on Friday 22nd March.
