Hay Festival (Hay-on-Wye)
This year’s Hay Festival starts on Thursday 23rd May with a packed programme of literary, arts and music events taking place across the period. Thursday 23rd May: ‘Relationships with Pictures’, Peter Lord (Dylan Thomas Centre, Swansea)
Peter Lord will be discussing his new book, published by Parthian, which describes the evolution of his own sense of self from post-War childhood, art college in the 1960s, through the tension between incomers and local people in Wales in the 1970s and 80s and finally through his exploration of the influence they have had in the lives of the artists who created them. Tickets cost £5 (or £3.50 for concessions) and can be booked through the Dylan Thomas Centre website.
